Many of you already know, Hurricane Dorian has caused catastrophic damage and loss of life in the Bahamas (Great Abaco) and is now causing tornados and flooding in South Carolina. Let us stand together in prayer for our brothers and sisters that are affected by this natural disaster. We know God is a healer, a refuge in the time of a storm, and a protector. Be a prayer warrior for comfort and peace in Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Some of you may be familiar with hearing those words as a child. I know I did. Whether it was from your mother or grandmother or aunt, it was said because the air was on and opening and shutting the door was letting the cold air out. It also meant that you spent time outside playing. We all have fond memories of playing outside as a child. If you were like me, you picked wild berries and ate them, rolled around in the grass (sometimes down hills), or even climbed trees. In essense you were connecting with God’s nature. As adults, we often don’t spend time connecting with God’s nature. The busyness of life gets in the way and we don’t take the time to connect with His nature.  I encourage you to spend some time with God’s nature this week. Sit outside on the porch and observe nature. Take a walk. Do some gardening. It will be refreshing to your soul.

The Word of God says, “He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” Psalm 23:2-3.

Let’s come together in corporate prayer for ALL students, parents and/or guardians, teachers, administrators and all support staff.  The upcoming school year is fast approaching and we lift up our future leaders and educators as they begin this journey of a new year of learning and growing. We pray for protection and safety for all in schools throughout our nation.  We pray that each student will take the opportunity to grasp every lesson taught and apply it to their lives now and in the future.  We pray for the parents and guardians to help their children, to be involved in their child’s education. We pray for the teachers and administrators as they pour into each student and often times going beyond the call of duty to support their students. Give them strength and wisdom Lord.  We ask all these things and blessings that overflow. In Jesus Name!!
